Can you make me a bespoke chair?

Yes we can make you a bespoke chair.  We have made them for all shapes and sizes and to accommodate all manner of furry friends and accessories.  Our tallest customer was 6'7" and our smallest has been 4'10.  We have had chairs made to accommodate dogs (mainly Pugs) and for people who need ice packs or heat bags.  A visit to your home will be required to do a seating assessment and to discuss your needs.

How much will delivery be?

Delivery is free throughout mainland UK on all our chairs. Regrettably we are unable to deliver to Highlands and Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, and Northern Ireland. If in doubt please contact us. Delivery includes unpacking, set up, and demonstration in a ground floor room.

What happens if there is a problem with my product after I've bought it?

In the first instance please call us so we can talk you through some basic step by step instructions. However do not worry as all our products are covered by a 12 month manufacturers warranty from the moment they are delivered. Some of our chairs have an extended warranty and accidental cover. Please see our warranty page for more details.

Do I need to pay VAT on my product?

Individuals who are chronically sick or disabled and whose products are for personal use, along with charities where the products are made available to a disabled person for their own personal or domestic use, may be eligible for VAT exemption. To qualify for VAT exemption you must complete a VAT Exempt certificate, stating the precise medical condition, and stating that you meet the criteria at the time you place your order. Assuming you meet this criteria, VAT will not be added to your purchase. Should you have any queries please contact us on 01283 704071 and a member of staff will gladly advise you. Completed VAT Exemption Declarations by customers are accepted as prima facie evidence by the Company that a valid medical condition exists for exemption under The VAT Act, and no VAT will be charged on the goods purchased. If, at a later date, HMRC disputes the validity of the medical condition, you will be liable to pay the appropriate VAT that should have been applied. Under these circumstances, Stuart Mobility reserves the right to demand that you pay the VAT amount that is due.

Do you provide finance?

We do not provide long term plan finance but we do have Klarna available which allows you to spread your payments over 3 installments. Alternatively we accept all major credit cards.

Why are you cheaper than others?

This is a question we get asked a lot.  Simply we have fewer overhead costs due to our size, business model and being a family business.  

Will my new chair need regular servicing?

If your chair is looked after well and used according to the manufacturers instructions then your chair should not need servicing. 

Where are your products made?

All our chairs come from British manufacturers many of whom supply to brands such as HSL and Middletons.  

Repose Furniture is based in the West Midlands and a family run business.  Cosi-Chair is based in Somerset; Sitting Pretty is based in Nottinghamshire; Primacare and Recliners are based in Wales. 

Do you sell spare parts for my chair?

Yes we can supply spare parts for your chair, however, we do not keep these in stock.  Instead we request these direct from the manufacturer for each individual chair.
