Returns and Refunds Policy

At Stuart Mobility we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and we hope customers are happy with their purchases but from time to time customers may need to return goods they have bought.

Sales from our retail outlet

All items purchased from our retail outlet are not entitled to a refund unless found to be faulty, not as described or fit for purpose. If this is the case then a full refund will be given within 30 days, following the process detailed below.

Distance Selling – items purchased over the internet and phone

Stuart Mobility offers a 14 day (calendar) cooling off period after you have received the goods. This allows you, the consumer, to inspect the product (s) and check the suitability. If for any reason you would like to return any goods to us please notify us within fourteen calendar days in writing either by email to sales@stuartmobility.co.uk or by post to our head office at the address below:

It is your responsibility to return the goods to us in a safe and proper manner and at your cost within 14 days after you have notified us.

  • We recommend that you use a service that requires a signature upon delivery.
  • If you would like us to arrange collection of the goods, please let us know, but this will incur costs depending on the item.
  • Alternatively you can return the goods to our retail premises during normal opening times.

We inspect all returned goods and provided that they are found to be complete, unused, not damaged and in the original packaging we will provide a full refund less original delivery charges.

Naturally, if the goods were faulty, not as described, or fit for purpose then Stuart Mobility Limited will bear the delivery and return costs.

Please note that we are unable to exchange or refund certain items i.e. anything specially made or customised e.g. made to measure Rise and Recline Chair or Power Chair; any used products that represent a hygiene risk such as used toilet seats, commodes, bottom wipers or bath lifts etc (unless of course they were found to be faulty upon delivery).

If products are not returned in their original condition on return, Stuart Mobility Limited reserves the right to charge for repair or replacement of any product(s). This charge may include the cost of parts, materials, labour and any subsequent loss to Stuart Mobility Limited. In all instances a Returns form with original invoice number will need to accompany the goods. Failure to do so will result in your returned goods not being traceable.

All refunds will be processed within 14 days following receipt of goods.

This does not affect your statutory right
